Greenwich girls golf team edged out Fairfield Warde to improve to 6-3

The Greenwich High School girls golf team continued its successful season, defeating Fairfield Warde, 188-190 in a tight match held at Smith Richardson Golf Club on Tuesday.

With the victory, Greenwich raised its record to 6-3. The Cardinals are in action again Monday against Ridgefield at Millbrook Country Club in Greenwich.

In Tuesday’s match against Warde, Cardinals freshman Caroline McShea earned medalist honors with a 4-over-par 36. Ella Fish, a junior co-captain, carded a 46 for Greenwich, which received a round of 50 from freshman Charlotte Langhorne. Senior co-captain Sarah Peng finished with a 52 for the Cardinals, who have won five out of their last six matches.

Rachel Sheperd led Warde with a round of 42.
