
With a little more than one week remaining in the regular season and the postseason rapidly approaching, the Greenwich High School volleyball team is rounding into playoff form.
The Cardinals added another decisive win to their ledger, defeating Danbury, 3-0, in an FCIAC matchup on the road on Tuesday. The victory upped Greenwich’s overall record to 12-3.
Senior outside hitter/tri-captain Maggie Saleeby helped power the Cardinals, recording a team-high 13 kills to go along with 14 digs and 10 aces.
Katherine Ford, also a senior captain, totaled 10 kills, 12 digs and five aces, while junior libero Hayley Dionis tallied 15 digs and three assists for the victors. Greenwich, which extended its winning streak to three matches, took the match by set scores of 25-16, 25-9, 25-12.

Lucia Spanjol, a senior tri-captain setter, notched 31 digs and seven aces, while sophomore Alina Sarkissian also helped pace Greenwich’s offense with 10 kills.
Up next for Greenwich is a home match tomorrow against Westhill at 4:30 p.m. Next week, the Cards visit Wilton Monday, then host St. Joseph Wednesday, Masuk Thursday and Stamford Friday.
