Ellie Burdick chosen to compete in Senior Lacrosse All-America Game

Photo by Sarah Burdick: Ellie Burdick, who played on Greenwich Academy’s Varsity A lacrosse team since she was a freshman, will compete in the Senior All-America Lacrosse Game.

Ellie Burdick, a midfielder who provided outstanding play during her impressive lacrosse career at Greenwich Academy, was selected to compete in the 18th annual Senior All-America Lacrosse Game.

The girls Senior All-America Lacrosse Game is scheduled to take place at 5:30 p.m. on July 29 at John Hopkins University’s Homewood Field in Baltimore, Maryland.

The All-America game includes 44 players, four of which are from Connecticut. Burdick and Darien 2023 graduates Chloe Humphrey, Ryan Hapgood and Kacie Benoit are the four players that will represent Connecticut at the Senior All-America Game. The roster was selected by Inside Lacrosse.

Burdick, who graduated from Greenwich Academy this past May, excelled as a midfielder for the school’s Varsity A team. She scored numerous goals and also flourished at setting up her teammates for goals, while also making her mark on both ends of the field.

Headed to Dartmouth University, where she will play Division I lacrosse, Burdick earned USA Lacrosse All-America honors and USA Lacrosse All-America Academic accolades for the 2023 season.

Burdick, who captained GA’s Varsithy A Lacrosse team, along with Rebecca Arpano and Ellie Johnson, was also named to the 2023 All-NEPSAC Lacrosse Team. The Greenwich Academy Varsity A lacrosse team finished the 2023 season with a record of 8-2 and was ranked No. 24 in the Nike/USA Lacrosse Top 25 National Rankings.
