
The National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association Boys High School All-America Swimming lists were recently released for the 2022-2023 scholastic season and numerous athletes from Brunswick School and Greenwich High School earned All-America honors.
Brunswick 2023 graduates Peter Michalik and Patrick Mullen and rising seniors Benjamin Wu and Ryan Ohl ranked 25th on the NISCA All-America list in the 200-yard medley relay event. The foursome registered an All-America time of 1:31.74 at the 2023 NEPSAC Division I Championships this past winter.
Liam Flaherty, Aiden Bucaria and Evan Belmont, all 2023 Greenwich High graduates and rising junior Noah Barrett received All-America recognition in the 200-yard medley as well. Their All-America winning time of 1:33.30 in the 200 medley at the 2023 State Open Championships was the 82nd ranked time in the country.
Bucaria, who will continue his swimming career at Boston College, made NISCA All-America accolades in 200-yard individual medley. His time of 1:50.14 in the 200 IM was good for second place at the State Open Championships and 75th in the nation.

Wu of Brunswick won the NEPSAC Division I title in the 100-yard butterfly in an All-American time of 48.51 seconds, which was also ranked 49th in the nation.
The Bruins had the 10th-best time in the nation in the 200-yard freestyle relay. Wu, Connor Ohl, Mullen and Ryan Ohl won the 200 freestyle at the 2023 Division I Championships in 1:22.69, an All-America showing and the 10th-top time in the country. Connor Ohl is a rising sophomore for Brunswick, which placed third in the team standings at the NEPSAC Division I Championships this past winter.
Greenwich’s Kegan Clark, Belmont, 2023 graduate Ioane Maglakelidze and Barrett combined for an All-America time of 1:25.53 while winning the 200-yard freestyle title at the 2023 State Open. Their time ranked 100th in the country. Clark is a rising senior for the Cardinals, who captured the team title at the 2023 State Open Championships.
For Brunswick, Wu, Connor Ohl, Mullen and Ryan Ohl earned an All-America time of 3:02.78 in the 400-yard freestyle relay at the NEPSAC Division I Championships. Their NEPSAC Division I championship time put them all the way up to 15th on the NISAC All-America list in the event.
Greenwich’s Clark, Felix Flakstad (2023 graduate), Flaherty and Bucaria also earned All-American honors in the 400 freestyle relay. They posted a first-place time of 3:05.38 in the 400 freestyle relay race at the State Open Championships (45th on the All-America list).
