
Lily Lyons ran to victory for Greenwich Academy at the 2023 Canterbury Cross Country Invitational this past Saturday.
Lyons won the race for Greenwich Academy with a time of 18:53. GA placed third in the team standings at the competitive meet with a team score of 97 points. Loomis Chaffee School finished first in the team standings (28 points), followed by Hopkins School (81).

Hotchkiss School was fourth (103 points), Winsor finished fifth (113) and Sacred Heart Greenwich was sixth (120) among the eight teams in the Division I competition at the meet.
Finishing behind Lyons was Natalie Crocker of Loomis Chaffee School, who placed second with a time of 19:08. Maddy Lee gave Greenwich Academy a third-place finish. Lee finished the race at the Canterbury Invitational with a time of 19:26.

Sacred Heart Greenwich was paced by Ava Lillis, who placed 12th with a time of 21:16. Tigers teammate Charley Bacigalupo finished 13th in 21:25. Maggie Finn was 19th for Sacred Heart in 22:23.
Grace Sullivan finished 21st for Greenwich Academy (22:48) and Gators teammate Isabel Pombo was 35th in 23:52.
