
Greenwich High School senior Jacob Winston produced an impressive second-place finish at the CIAC Class LL diving finals at Sheehan High School on March 7.
Winston amassed 442.30 points over 11 rounds of diving at the competitive Class LL state competition. Finn Moynahan of Fairfield co-op won the Class LL diving championship with a score of 543.85 points.
Orion Heiser from Hamden posted a third-place finish (414.55 points) and Jaxson McQuaid of Norwalk/McMahon took fourth (404.65). Winston’s second-place showing gave the Cardinals 27 points toward the team standings at tonight’s Class LL Swimming Championships at Wesleyan University.
Greenwich captured another CIAC Class LL team championship with a team score of 852 points. We’ll have more coverage – a separate article on the Cardinals capturing another Class LL title – here on Greenwich Sports Beat, in the coming days.

At last week’s Class LL diving finals, sophomore William Hanna gave the Cardinals a strong fifth-place finish. Hannah registered an 11-dive score of 322.60 points.
Also for Greenwich, Colm O’Donovan was eighth with a score of 254.70 at the Class LL competition.
