
Colin Zeller, a rising Greenwich High School senior, earned USA Lacrosse/CHSCA All-State Class LL First Team honors after producing an impressive 2024 season for the Cardinals.
Zeller, a midfielder, was one of Greenwich’s leading scorers for the season, providing numerous goals, while setting up his teammates as well with excellent passes.
For the season, the Cardinals finished with a record of 10-9, advancing to the quarterfinal round of the FCIAC Tournament, then the CIAC Class LL Tournament quarterfinals, where they lost to New Canaan.

Zeller scored and created a lot of goals for the Cardinals. He registered seven goals in Greenwich’s 21-11 win over Notre Dame-West Haven during the regular season and had a five goal, one assist effort in a 9-6 road victory over Fairfield Ludlowe, also during the regular season.
Zeller recorded five goals in a 12-6 road win over Stamford in the regular season, then had a hat trick versus Stamford in a 13-6 triumph in the opening round of the CIAC Class LL Tournament. Those were just some of the big scoring games Zeller had for the Cardinals this past season. He was also one of the Cardinals’ captains.

Additionally, Zeller received All-FCIAC First Team accolades as a midfielder.
George Weiksner, a 2024 GHS graduate, earned the honor of receiving USA Lacrosse/CHSCA Academic All-America accolades for his outstanding achievements in the classroom.
Weiksner also helped lead the Cardinals on the field as one of the squad’s standout defensive players. He helped solidify Greenwich’s solid defensive effort throughout the season.

Mikey Brescia, Jimmy Flinn and Adam Kim were also All-FCIAC Team selections for Greenwich. Brescia, who is entering his senior year at GHS, helped spark the Cardinals’ offense throughout the season.
Brescia, who served as one of the Cardinals’ captains, received All-FCIAC Second Team honors as an attack. A starter on the varsity team since his freshman season, Brescia has been a standout athlete on offense all three of his years on the team.

Flinn is an All-FCIAC selection as a midfielder. He too provided clutch scoring to the team all season, as well as leadership as one of the Cardinals’ senior athletes.
Adam Kim, who filled the role as one of Greenwich’s senior captains this past spring, made All-FCIAC Second Team honors as a defender. Kim’s presence on defense aided the Cardinals greatly throughout the season.
