The National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association recently released its All-America lists for each high school girls swimming event and Greenwich High School was exceptionally well-represented.

The Cardinals earned NISCA All-American honors in four events, with 2024 Greenwich High School graduate Payton Foster earning All-America accolades in each of the four events. Foster swam to NISCA All-America honors for the 2023-2024 season in the 200-yard individual medley.

The swimmers with the top 100 times in each event earned NISCA All-America accolades. Foster’s All-America time of 2:00.81 came at the 2023 CIAC State Open Championships at Yale University, where he recorded a first-place finish in the race.

Foster will soon continue her academic and swimming careers at Harvard University. The 500-yard freestyle is also a race that Foster swam to a NISCA All-America time. She won the gold medal in the event at the 2023 State Open Championships in a NISCA All-America time of 4:51.89, the 37th fastest time in the country. She is a three-time NISCA All-America athlete.
