Following its Thanksgiving Day setback against FCIAC football rival Staples, Greenwich will look to get right back on the winning track when it hosts New Britain tonight at Cardinal Stadium in the CIAC Class LL Tournament quarterfinals.
The Cardinals enter the game as the No. 3 seed with a record of 8-2. Visiting New Britain is the No. 6 seed and also has a record of 8-2. The CIAC Class LL quarterfinal-round game is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. at Cardinal Stadium.
The Greenwich-New Britain winner plays the Staples-Manchester victor in the Class LL semifinals on Sunday. Staples, which defeated GHS on Thanksgiving, is seeded second, while Manchester is seeded seventh.
