Sacred Heart Greenwich defeats FAA foe Hamden Hall Country Day School to remain undefeated in the FAA

Sacred Heart Greenwich’s basketball team rang in the new year in style.

The Tigers began 2025 with a 54-46 win over FAA foe Hamden Hall Country Day School in an intense game held on Jan. 8, at Sacred Heart Greenwich.

With the victory, Sacred Heart Greenwich raised its overall record to 7-2 and FAA mark to a perfect 4-0. As has been the case so far this season, the Tigers received contributions from numerous athletes.

Junior guard Eva Wilkerson scored a team-high 14 points to pace Sacred Heart. Wilkerson also grabbed 10 rebounds and had three assists for the victors.

Sophomore guard Lucianna Parrotta totaled 10 points, six rebounds and five assists in the winning effort. Ava Curto, a junior guard, added nine points and five rebounds for Sacred Heart, the defending FAA Tournament and regular season champions.

Jadamarie Henry, a senior forward, scored nine points and pulled down four rebounds, while sophomore guard/forward Emma Matthews posted eight points, four rebounds and two assists for the Tigers.

Senior guard Aisha Hassan had four points, five rebounds, four steals and five assists in the victory.

Up next for Sacred Heart is a home game against FAA opponent Masters School on Jan. 13. They will also host Kent School on Jan. 17.
