Receiving productive efforts from numerous athletes, the Greenwich High School boys volleyball team swept St. Joseph, 3-0, in an FCIAC match held on April 17 at GHS.
The Cardinals won the match by set scores of 25-13, 25-20, 25-22. Dylan Gomez recorded 18 digs, 13 kills and one ace to pace Greenwich to its second win of its 2025 season. Logan Jaycox registered 11 digs, 12 assists and one ace, while Cardinals teammate Keio Fukushima added 18 digs, four assists and two aces.
Also powering Greenwich to victory over St. Joseph were Hiro Sibble (10 digs, 11 kills, two blocks, two aces) and Gabriel Lazo (16 assists, two digs). On April 21, the Cardinals were defeated at home, 3-1.
Gomez tallied 10 digs, five kills and two aces for Greenwich against Trumbull, which won the match by game scores of 25-15, 25-29, 25-12, 25-19. Jaycox had seven digs, one kill, 11 assists and three aces, while Fukushima posted 16 digs, two assists and one ace and Sibble notched 15 digs, eight kills, two blocks and three aces for the Cardinals.
Up next for Greenwich (2-4) is a road match against FCIAC foe Norwalk on April 23.
