Sacred Heart Greenwich’s Varsity A lacrosse team certainly celebrated Senior Day in style.
The Tigers were in top form in their final home game of their 2025 season, with Senior Day being the theme.
Receiving a five-goal, one assist effort from senior captain Charley Bacigalupo, Sacred Heart Greenwich coasted to a convincing 16-4 win over The Taft School at Sheehan Field on May 10. Maggie Sweeney recorded one goal and was an excellent distributor in the win, dishing out six assists for the successful Tigers.

Daphne Fallon, a senior captain, scored two goals, while freshman Peyla Carcaterra posted two goals and one assist for SHG, which received a dominant effort on both ends of the field against Taft. Ryan Hodge tallied one goal and one assist for Sacred Heart, which paid tribute to its seniors following the home victory.
Senior captain Maddy Hartnett, Georgia Lillis, Lily Sullivan, Elin Eaton, Sasha Mollett scored one goal apiece for the Tigers, who received one assist from Audrey Bakker.
Hartnett and Morgan Sfreddo, both seniors, helped pace Sacred Heart’s sensational defensive effort.

Addy Flinchbaugh recorded a save in goal and teammate Olivia Franco had two saves in the winning effort. the matchup was the final home game of the season for Sacred Heart, which raised its record to a sparkling 13-2.
Sacred Heart closes out its regular season with a road game against Hotchkiss School on May 14. After playing Hotchkiss on the road, Sacred Heart will compete in the 2025 Prep Cup Tournament in Massachusetts, which it won in 2024.

The Prep Cup Tournament begins on May 17 and concludes on May 18.
