Brunswick’s first varsity eight places among top 10 at NEIRA Championships

Brunswick’s School’s 1st Varsity Eight registered a strong ninth place finish at the New England Interscholastic Rowing Association Championship Regatta at Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, Massachusetts, recently.

The Bruins’ second Varsity Eight crew also posted a solid finish, placing 10th in their race at the NEIRA Championship Regatta. Brunswick’s third Varsity Eight missed out on the finals after finishing outside the top three in their morning heat.

Brunswick School’s First Varsity Eight boat at the NEIRA Championships included: coxswain Finn O’Sullivan, stroke George Kapp, Phill Martone, Rhodes Pollack, Eddy Reed, Charlie Sulkowski, Quinn Evans and bow Sam Veiner.

Competing in the Bruins’ Second Varsity Eight boat at the NEIRA Championships were coxswain James Koester, stroke Owen Lavin, Tyler Lugo, Justin Guo, Jack McEntire, James DiBiasio, Eddy Tucker, Henry Roth and bow Tony Zhu.

The next race for Brunswick is the USRowing Youth National Championships, which takes place in Sarasota, Fla., from June 12-15.
