Tomas Delgado and Owen Guest added one goal apiece for the Bruins, who received one assist each from Myles Spiess, Chris Gaine and Hunter Spiess.
Waters scored the game’s first goal in the opening quarter, then Belmont Hill responded with three straight tallies to take a 3-1 edge going into the second quarter. A decisive 5-0 run in the second quarter gave the Bruins the lead for good.

With Belmont Hill ahead, 4-2, in the second quarter, Brunswick got goals from Waters, Lucas Delgado, Tomas Delgado, Mackesy and Guest to enter halftime with a 7-4 lead. Guest’s goal just beat the buzzer to end the second quarter. A forced turnover by Will Donovan and a pass from Hunter Spiess led to Guest’s tally.

Brunswick seized a 9-6 advantage early in the third quarter behind goals from Mackesy, who converted a low angle shot and Wolfram (first career varsity goal). Another Mackesy goal put the Bruins ahead, 10-6, after three quarters.

Belmont Hill tallied twice to start the fourth quarter, but the visiting Bruins made it 11-8, when Lucas Delgado tallied off a Mackesy assist. Brunswick’s lead was cut to 11-10 on a pair of Belmont Hill goals, but the visitors (1-0) held on for a season-opening win.
