Greenwich boys lacrosse team rolls past Norwalk to raise record to 8-3

The Greenwich boys lacrosse team is on a roll, having won eight of its last nine games, heading into its game against Wilton.

The Greenwich High School boys lacrosse team continue to surge, cruising past visiting Norwalk, 15-1, in an FCIAC matchup held on Wednesday.

With their eighth victory in their last nine games, the Cardinals upped their mark to 8-3. Greenwich hosts rival Wilton today at 4:30 p.m. at Cardinal Stadium in a key late-season game. Junior Bryce Metalios recorded five goals and four assist to help propel the Cardinals.

Flynn Milledge, a junior, registered four goals and one assist, while sophomore Brian Collins had two goals and two assists for Greenwich. Senior Jack Cook added one goal and one assist and Wesley Zolin assisted on two goals in the win.

Also pacing Greenwich were Nate Duffy (two goals), James Pilc (one goal), Hank Minchin (one goal), Lucas Christensen (one assist) and Adam Kim (one assist). Junior Quinn Warwick won seven of nine faceoffs, while junior Charlie Zola and senior Will Clemens combined to make six saves for the victors.
