Junior Klara Mueffelmann recorded four goals and one assist to lead the Greenwich High School field hockey team past Westhill, 9-0, in an FCIAC matchup held in Stamford on Wednesday.
The Cardinals, who have won four straight games, moved their record to 5-2 with the victory. Complementing Mueffelmann offensively was senior Justine Ligouri, who tallied two goals and one assist in the winning effort.
Senior Isa Lattuada, senior Isa Biagini and freshman Kate Donnellan each added one goal apiece for the Cardinals, who played both Kelly Janssen and Bryn McConnell in goal in the shutout win.
“Everyone on this team contributed to this win and helped execute what we have been working on in practice and into the game,” Cardinals coach Megan Wax said.
Greenwich travels to Trumbull on Saturday for a 5:30 p.m. game. They then will visit Staples on Tuesday for a 4 p.m. matchup.
