Greenwich High School’s boys golf season is experiencing plenty of success in its inaugural fall season.
The Cardinals are sporting a record of 9-1-1 11 matches into their season, which has them playing in the fall for the first time. In season’s past, Greenwich played during the spring.
In Greenwich’s latest match against St. Joseph on Thursday at Griffith E. Harris Golf Course in Greenwich, the teams tied 155-155. Sophomore Owen Duda shot a 36, while junior Charles Schrohe carded a 38 over nine holes to pace the Cardinals.
Senior Luke Scanlan and senior JT Spadone each finished with rounds of 39 for Greenwich. On Wednesday against New Canaan at Country Club of New Canaan, the Cardinals were dealt their first loss. New Canaan posted a 151-168 win.
Scanlan shot a 39 and Schrohe finished with a 40 for Greenwich against New Canaan. Against Ridgefield on Tuesday at Silver Spring Golf Club, Spadone led the Cards with a round of 37, while Schrohe and sophomore Jack Hopper each shot a 39.
Greenwich plays again on Monday against Trumbull at Round Hill Country Club at 3:30 p.m.
