
Greenwich High School’s girls volleyball team continued its season-long success streak on Thursday.
The Cardinals ran their record to 9-0 with a 3-0 road victory over FCIAC foe Fairfield Warde. Receiving contributions from a number of players, Greenwich won the match by set scores of 25-17, 25-13, 25-11.
Senior Liana Sarkissian recorded 19 kills, 10 service points, three aces and two blocks to pace the Cardinals. Adele Sotgiu posted 11 kills and five digs, while junior Hayley Dionnis had nine digs in the winning effort.
Grace Darnow, a sophomore, tallied six service points with four aces and junior Maggie Saleeby rang up 14 service points, including four aces for the Cardinals, who received two kills from senior Sophie Jones.
Greenwich hopes to add another win to its record when it hosts Trumbull on Saturday at 12 p.m.
