Sacred Heart Greenwich’s Varsity B field hockey team has rolled to a record of 7-1 so far this season and celebrated its Senior Day this past Saturday with a home game against Greenwich Academy.
The Tigers edged Greenwich Academy, 1-0, for a Senior Day victory – a win giving them their seventh win of the season under the guidance of Abdel El-Kettani.
Dylan Drury and Katherine Devine are the two seniors on Sacred Heart’s varsity B field hockey team. The team’s seniors appreciated Senior Day and the season they have experienced thus far.
“Senior Day for me was a really exciting day to celebrate my team’s accomplishments,” Drury said. “We have lost only one game this season and it is the only game the Varsity B team has lost in my three years on the team. It was bittersweet, as we were celebrating our last field hockey game, but the underclassmen made it really special and of course, it was great to to win the game.”
Up next for the Tigers’ Varsity B team is the FAA Tournament, which begins on Nov. 6.
