Sacred Heart Greenwich’s golf team added another early season win to its ledger, defeating Greens Farms Academy, 3.5-1.5, in an FAA match held at Country Club of Fairfield on Monday.
At the No. 1 spot, Sacred Heart senior co-captain Kate Hong tied her match with Greens Farms Academy’s Charlotte Wagner, giving the Tigers, a half a point.
Isabelle Salerno was a 3-and-2 winner for Sacred Heart against Maxie Mirin at the No. 2 position. In the No. 3 matchup, Emmy Marlatt of the Tigers halved her match with Isabella Hassan.
Tigers co-captain Lydia Fullerton also tied her match against Julianna Penna at No. 4. Sacred Heart’s Lindsay Benza (No. 5) was victorious in her match against Francesca Sullivan, 4-and-3.
The win upped the Tigers’ record to 3-0 overall and 2-0 in the FAA. Sacred Heart plays Taft Wednesday at Watertown Country Club.
