
Greenwich High School’s varsity girls golf team has rolled to an impressive record of 8-2 with one match remaining on its regular season schedule.
The Cardinals’ most recent victory came against St. Joseph at Tashua Knolls Golf Course on Monday. Greenwich posted a 176-195 win against St. Joseph for its eighth triumph of the season.
Sophomore Charlotte Langhorne and freshman Ally Bauer each shot a 42 to share medalist honors for the Cardinals. Sophomores Caroline McShea and Zarah Hillman each registered rounds of 46 to also pace Greenwich’s winning effort.

On Tuesday, Greenwich lost for just the second time this season, as Staples recorded a 181-186 win at Longshore Golf Course. Bauer carded a 40, while McShea shot a 46 and Langhorne finished with a 49 for GHS. Hillman shot a 51 for Greenwich, which will most likely enter next Thursday’s FCIAC Tournament as the No. 3 seed.
Greenwich has one more match in its regular season, a matchup against St. Joseph Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. at Griffith E. Harris Golf Course. The FCIAC Tournament is scheduled to take place next Thursday, June 2, at noon at Fairchild Wheeler Golf Course.
In junior varsity girls golf action, Greenwich won the Ekstrom Par 3 Tournament at Carl Dickman Golf Course in Fairfield. Junior Cici Ge and sophomore Bella Crasto played in the best ball format and shot 33, good for first place. Also, Bella won the long drive award and Cici won closest to the pin award.
