Sacred Heart Greenwich volleyball team tops Masters to extend its winning streak

Grace Gapen helped lead Sacred Heart to a 3-0 FAA volleyball triumph against Masters School.

Continuing its impressive play, Sacred Heart Greenwich ran its winning streak to six matches, sweeping past Masters, 3-0, in an FAA match held on Monday in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y.

The Tigers won the match by game scores of 25-15, 25-20, 25-6.

Grace Gapen recorded eight kills, seven digs, one ace and two assists to pace Sacred Heart. Martina Bernal had seven kills, two digs and one ace, while Emilia Bernal posted kills, five aces, five digs and 20 assists in the winning effort. The Tigers moved their record to 9-3 with their sixth straight victory.

Kaitlin Robinson tallied six kills, three aces, one dig and two assists, while Ana Pizzimbono had one ace, two assists and 10 digs for the victors. Sacred Heart takes the court again Saturday at Greens Farms Academy.
