Sacred Heart Greenwich’s swimming team produced a number of impressive performances in its victory on the road against Canterbury School this past Saturday, earning a lot of first-place finishes.
The meet began with Sacred Heart’s Lilly Dallesandro, Gianna Walsh, Beata Servick and Emily Shull combining for a winning time of 2:03.71 in the 200-yard medley relay.
Alexandra Marshall posted a winning time of 2:22.07 in the 200-yard freestyle for the Tigers, while teammate Aitana Ross (2:33.90) won the 200 individual medley.
In the 50-yard freestyle, Sacred Heart’s Victoria Mordaunt touched the wall first in 25.72 seconds. Emma Beaty was second on the 1-meter diving board for the Tigers (216.60 points), an event won by Jacquelynn Kenna (244.09).
Mordaunt finished first in the 100 butterfly (1:02.44), while Marshall was the 100 freestyle winner (1:02.04) and Ross had the meet’s top time in the 500 freestyle (6:18.22).
Emma Robredo had a first-place finish in the backstroke for the Tigers, registering a time of 1:09.65 and Walsh won the 100 breaststroke in 1:27.10.
Sacred Heart is in action again against Masters School in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y., on Wednesday.
