Sacred Heart Greenwich juniors Payton Sfreddo and Madison Hart each earned FAA All-League honors after producing impressive seasons for the school’s basketball team.
Sfreddo received FAA Second Team All-League accolades, while Hart received FAA Honorable Mention All-League recognition. Hart was also chosen as the NEPSAC Class A Defensive Player of the Year.

Sfreddo, a guard/forward led the Tigers in scoring this winter, scoring in double figures in the majority of the team’s games. She reached and eclipsed the 1,000 career points milestone and provided consistent scoring for Sacred Heart throughout the season.
Sfreddo was also a dynamic playmaker, setting her teammates up for baskets with key steals and nifty, on-target passes.

Hart, who spent a lot of time playing the point guard position, also provided a lot of scoring to the Tigers’ backcourt and she was among the team’s leaders in steals. Her ability to create turnovers and register steals, along with playing tenacious defense earned her the honor of being selected as the NEPSAC Class B Defensive Player of the Year for the 2022-2023 season.
Additionally, Hart, Sfreddo and sophomore guard Eva Wilkerson recently represented Sacred Heart at the NEPSGBA Class A All-Star Game. Wilkerson also sparked the Tigers’ backcourt on both ends of the court. The trio will no doubt look to lead the Tigers next season. Sacred Heart advanced to the FAA Tournament semifinals and made it to the NEPSAC Class A Tournament quarterfinals.
