Xavion Faison, a 6-foot-7 forward, represents the Greenwich High School boys basketball team on the All-FCIAC Team.

Faison, who recently concluded his junior season for the Cardinals, was selected as a member of the 2022-2023 All-FCIAC Boys Basketball team. One of Greenwich’s leading scorers this past season, Faison earned All-FCIAC Third Team honors.

“Obviously, it feels good, but it makes me just want to get better and work hard this offseason to be able to help my teammates and myself get better for next season,” Faison said of receiving All-FCIAC Third Team accolades.

Faison helped lead Greenwich’s offense with his 3-point shooting and ability to drive to the basket.

“Looking back to this season, I feel I had an okay year,” Faison said. “I feel like some games I didn’t step up enough and other games I did – games like Staples, Norwalk and Fairfield Warde.”

Coached by Todd Trimmer, Greenwich registered a record of 10-10 this past season and qualified for the CIAC Division II Tournament, where it was defeated by Kennedy in the first round.

Faison will be one of the athletes the Cardinals will look to next winter to lead them offensively and for leadership on and off the court.

“Some of my goals for next season are to get First Team All-FCIAC and to be able to put up a banner with my teammates,” Faison noted.
