
Carrying the momentum in the first half, Sacred Heart Greenwich’s Varsity A lacrosse team build an eight-point halftime lead on The Hill Academy from Canada and proceeded to post a convincing 15-6 home victory in a matchup held on Thursday.
The Tigers went into halftime with a comfortable 10-2 lead and never looked back on their way to their eighth win of the season.
Sophomore Charley Bacigalupo recorded four goals and two assists to pace the Tigers’ balanced scoring effort. Payton Sfreddo, a junior, scored two goals, while junior Maggie Bacigalupo registered a hat trick with two assists for Sacred Heart.

Kelly Haggerty, a senior captain, had one goal and two assists for SHG, which received one goal and one assist from senior Karina Sethi. Junior Kaitlin Robinson, sophomore Daphne Fallon, junior Ava Lillis and Ryan Hodge each notched one goal apiece to also ignite the winning effort.
Laura O’Connor, a senior tri-captain, made two saves in goal for Sacred Heart, which received one assist apiece from senior Mackenzie Coleman and freshman Georgia Lillis.
Sacred Heart was right back in action today and rolled to a 16-4 triumph at Sacred Heart Academy on Long Island. The Tigers have a record of 9-1 on the season and will host rival Greenwich Academy Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.
