
The Greenwich High School boys volleyball team ended a busy week by defeating Danbury, 3-1, in an FCIAC match held on Friday.
The Cardinals won the match by set scores of 25-10, 25-16, 17-25, 25-19. Senior Nico Carlson recorded 12 kills and four blocks to pace the Cardinals. With the win, Greenwich upped its record to 3-5.
Junior James Kovac registered five kills and 10 digs, while sophomore Keito Fukushima posted 21 digs for Greenwich. Jack Konigsberg, a senior, also ignited the Cardinals’ offense, notching 32 assists.
Greenwich has another home match on Monday against Westhill at 4 p.m.
