Coach Brower described GA’s hard-fought game versus Taft.

“Taft scored first in the second period with a scramble on the baseline and good pressure to put it over the line,” Brower said. “Our tying goal came in the third from Emily Rizzi, assists to Annie Hanson and Melanie Saunders. Despite controlling much of the play and drawing 16 penalty corners, we just couldn’t get the ball in the goal.”

“During 7v7 overtime, we had some opportunities but didn’t convert, and Taft got a breakaway situation and scored a nice backhand goal to end the game,” Brower continued. “It was a tough loss, but we will learn from it and move forward as we have some tough games ahead.”
