
Bryce Metalios kept his scoring surge going and the Greenwich boys lacrosse team continued their winning ways on Saturday.
Metalios, a junior attack, scored a team-best six goals to lead Greenwich to a 13-8 victory over Fairfield Warde in an FCIAC game at Cardinal Stadium. With their sixth win in seven games, the Cardinals ran their record to 6-3.
Through nine games, Metalios has registered 31 goals for the Cardinals, who won three of their four games this week.
Flynn Milledge, a junior, tallied twice, for Greenwich, which saw junior Quinn Warwick win nine faceoffs. Warwick, a midfielder, also tallied one goal and one assist in the winning effort. Junior James Pilc had one goal and one assist, as did senior John Cataldo. Also pacing the Cardinals were senior Will Montesi and junior Wesley Zolin, all of whom had one goal.
Sophomore Brian Collins assisted on three goals and junior Charles Zola made four saves for the victors. Greenwich visits Trumbull Tuesday, then hosts Norwalk on Wednesday and Wilton on Thursday.
