The Sacred Heart Greenwich golf team celebrated its Senior Day by registering a 4-1 win against FAA foe Greenwich Country Day School in a match held on Monday at Fairview Country Club in Greenwich.
At the No. 1 spot, Lianna Amoruso of Sacred Heart was victorious, 3 and 2. In the No. 2 match, Kate Hong posted a 2 and 1 win for the Tigers. Sacred Heart’s Lydia Fullerton No. 3, 4 and 3.
Sam Mecone (No. 4) won her match for Sacred Heart, 5 and 3, as did Lindsay Benza (No. 5), 5 and 3. Up next for Sacred Heart, which has a record of 4-2, is the 2021 Hornet Invitational Golf Tournament at New Haven Country Club on May 17. The tournament begins at 12:45 p.m.
Greenwich Country Day School will also compete in the Hornet Invitational next week.
