Another game, another convincing win for the Greenwich boy lacrosse team.
The Cardinals won for the seventh time in eight games Tuesday, topping Trumbull, 16-8, on the road.
Senior John Cataldo led a balanced Cardinals scoring attack with five goals and one assist. Junior Bryce Metalios registered two goals and three assists for Greenwich (7-3), which also received two goals and two assists from sophomore Brian Collins and two goals and one assist from senior Will Montesi.
Junior James Pilc tallied twice, while senior Chris Cataldo had a goal for Greenwich, which led 13-2 at halftime. Senior Jack Cook had a goal, while junior Wesley Zolin assisted on a pair of goals.
Possession edge was key for Greenwich, which was sparked by junior Quinn Warwick, who won 15 of the 16 faceoffs he took. Junior Charlie Zola and senior Will Clemens each had three saves apiece for Greenwich, which hosts Norwalk today at 4:30 p.m. at Cardinal Stadium.
