The Sacred Heart Greenwich lacrosse team is finishing its season in fine fashion.
The Tigers turned back Taft Tuesday, 13-9, in a road matchup in Watertown. Freshman Kaitlin Robinson continued the scoring surge she’s been on of late, recording a hat trick to help lead Sacred Heart to victory.
Robinson also totaled four draw controls in the win. Junior Franny O’Brien registered two goals and one assist, while sophomore Kelly Haggerty tallied twice for the victors. Senior midfielder Hannah Dempsey tallied one goal and three draw controls and freshman Caroline Fouts notched one assist, one draw control and one ground ball.
Also pacing the Tigers’ offense were freshman Payton Sfreddo (one goal, one assist, three draw controls), senior midfielder Grace Lillis (one assist, two draw controls), freshman Maggie Bacigalupo (one goal) and junior Dylan Drury (one assist) and senior Fiona Lewis (one goal).
Rachel Keefe, a senior goalie, made six saves in the winning effort. Sacred Heart (8-4) closes out its season on Saturday against visiting FAA foe Rye Country Day School at 11 a.m.
