Greenwich Academy’s Maddy Lee places second at Canterbury Invitational

Greenwich Academy had a strong showing at the Canterbury Cross Country Invitational on Saturday.

Led by Maddy Lee’s second-place finish, Greenwich Academy’s cross country team finished fifth in the team-standings at the 10-team Canterbury Invitational on Saturday.

Lee produced a second-place time of 19:54 – a personal-best performance this season. Ava Butz, Greenwich Academy’s captain, finished fourth in the race, crossing the finish line in 20:29. Emily Goodman (27th overall) had a personal-record time of 22:41 for GA.

Katie McIntyre (32nd overall) posted a personal-record time of 22:57, while Grace Crookenden registered a time of 26:15 for Greenwich Academy. So far this season, GA has an FAA record of 7-2.
