Lavinia Cartellieri’s hat trick lifts Greenwich Academy field hockey team past Kent School on the road

The Greenwich Academy field hockey team won its second straight game and improved its record to 14-5 with a decisive 6-1 road win against Kent School in a late season NEPSAC game held on Monday.

Lavinia Cartellieri continued her impressive freshman season for GA, recording a hat trick to pace the team offensively. Senior tri-captain Cameron Brower, who scored the game-winning goal in Greenwich Academy’s 3-2 victory at Westminster School on Saturday, tallied twice against Kent.

Sophomore Gigi Caldero added a goal for the Gators, who play Deerfield Academy on Saturday at 5 p.m. at Trinity College in Hartford.

“We played a solid game and had some great finishes,” GA coach Jamie Brower said.
