Greenwich Academy track and field team sweeps road meet vs. Westminster, Miss Porter’s and Canterbury School

Greenwich Academy’s track and field team continued its successful season, defeating Westminster School, Miss Porter’s School and Canterbury in a meet held at Westminster today. By posting victories against the three schools, Greenwich Academy’s record now stands at 5-1-1-1 on the season.

Maddy Lee won the 1500-meter run for GA and teammate Cameron Brower finished first in the javelin event. Mia Wilson took second in the 100 and 200-meter dashes for the Gators. Greenwich Academy was also sparked by strong performances from its throwers – Hannah Murray, Clare Cannon, Shanika Davenreau, Ali Jaquiery, Jenna Antione and Ludo Berardi – in the meet.

GA’s 4×100-meter relay team of Lucy Burdett, Anaya Brown, Mia Wilson and Cameron Brower turned in a second-place performance in a personal-record time.

In the 4×100-meter relay, Greenwich Academy’s Ali Jaquiery, Maddy Lee, Ella Zea and Brower registered a first-place finish.
