
In a rematch of the 2021 CIAC Class LL Tournament girls volleyball final, Greenwich and Fairfield Ludlowe faced each other in an FCIAC match on Tuesday.
The host Cardinals seized a 2-0 lead, winning the first two sets, but the Falcons came back to tie the match at 2-2, before the home team took the final set and the match.
Defending Class state champion and FCIAC champion Greenwich kept its unbeaten record intact, edging Ludlowe, 3-2. With the win, the Cardinals ran their record to 5-0 for first-year head coach Marianna Linnehan.
Greenwich is back on the court Thursday when FCIAC foe Staples come to town at 4 p.m. Here’s some more photos of Tuesday’s match against Ludlowe provided by Cindy Saleeby.
