Following a close loss to Fairfield Warde on Tuesday, the Greenwich High School girls basketball team continued its stellar season, earning road victories against Stamford and Westhill on Friday and Saturday, respectively.

The Cardinals topped Stamford, 44-35, then upended Westhill, 60-30. With the road wins, Greenwich raised its record to 8-6 overall and 6-3 in the FCIAC, putting them in position to qualify for the FCIAC Tournament – there are still six games remaining in the regular season.

“These were great back-to-back games for us,” GHS coach Megan Wax said. “Both games were a full team effort with every single player on the roster contributing to our success.”
