In FCIAC boys volleyball action on Thursday, Greenwich dropped a 3-1 decision to St. Joseph in a match held in Trumbull. The Cadets won the close match by game scores of 24-26, 25-21, 25-14, 25-22.

Ricardo Prado, a senior, recorded 12 kills and eight blocks for Greenwich. Senior Ben Bowers registered 13 kills, 14 digs and one ace to power the Cardinals.

Matt Tomkiel, also a senior, posted 11 digs, while sophomore Hiro Sibble had 33 assists and one ace for Greenwich. Keito Fukushima, a sophomore, notched 15 digs and one ace for the Cardinals (0-2), who are in action again on Monday against visiting Fairfield Warde at 4:30 p.m.
