
Generating goals early and often, Sacred Heart Greenwich’s Varsity A lacrosse team built a big lead on Westminster and never looked back.
The Tigers created an 11-goal halftime lead on their way to registering a resounding 14-0 road victory against NEPSAC opponent Westminster in a game played on Thursday. Eight different players posted goals for Sacred Heart, which raised its record to 6-1 on the season.
Senior attack/co-captain Kelly Haggerty recorded a hat trick with one assist for the Tigers, who led 11-0, at halftime. Karina Sethi, a senior attack, Charley Bacigalupo, a sophomore midfielder and Maggie Bacigalupo, a junior midfielder, also tallied three goals for the victors.

Junior midfielder Payton Sfreddo had one goal and three assists, senior attack Mackenzie Coleman tallied twice, sophomore defender Ainsley Clough had one goal and junior attack Wowie Walker scored a goal in the winning effort. Senior Laura O’Connor earned the shutout win in goal.
Freshman midfielder Scarlett Pfistner assisted on a goal for SHG, which hosts Oak Knoll School on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
