
Another match, another impressive win for the Greenwich High School girls golf team.
The Cardinals excelled against another opponent at another course on Wednesday, defeating FCIAC rival Darien at Woodway Country Club. Greenwich posted a team aggregate score of 180, while Darien finished with a score of 224.
With the victory, Greenwich upped its record to a perfect 5-0. Junior Caroline McShea paced the Cardinals’ deep lineup, shooting a 43 over nine holes against Darien.
Sophomore Allison Bauer carded a 44, while senior Maddie Driscoll shot a 45 for Greenwich at Woodway. Charlotte Langhorne, a junior, posted a score of 48 for the Cardinals. Freshman Ellery Talbot finished with a round of 44, though her score was not tabulated, since she played at the No. 6 spot for the Cards.
Greenwich was in action today against Danbury at Richter Park Golf Course. The Cardinals will host Fairfield Ludlowe at Griffith E. Harris Golf Course in Greenwich on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.
