Laura O’Connor reaches career milestones in Sacred Heart Greenwich’s road win over lacrosse rival Hotchkiss School

A brilliant 15-save performance produced a pair of milestones for Sacred Heart Greenwich senior goalie Laura O’Connor in the team’s 10-7 win over host Hotchkiss School on Wednesday.

O’Connor’s impressive save total in the NEPSAC matchup put her over the 200 career save plateau. She reached the milestone and her 15 saves gives her 209 for her successful career.

Additionally, O’Connor cleared 100 goals on the season, she now has 109 saves this spring for the talented Tigers. The victory stretched Sacred Heart’s winning streak to nine games and raised its overall record to 14-1

The Tigers went into halftime with a 7-3 lead on Hotchkiss. Senior attack/captain Kelly Haggerty scored four goals and added an assist to pace SHG. Junior midfielder Kaitlin Robinson also had a standout offensive performance, tallying four goals for the victors.

Daphne Fallon scored one goal and sophomore Charley Bacigalupo also had a goal for Sacred Heart, which received three assists from junior Wowie Walker and one assist from senior Karina Sethi.

Sacred Heart still has one more weekend of lacrosse left. The Tigers will compete in the Prep Invitational Tournament at Dexter Southfield School on Saturday. They will play Dexter Southfield School. On Sunday, SHG will face Phillips Exeter Academy at Dexter Southfield School.
