Greenwich Country Day School boys lacrosse team edged by Trinity-Pawling, undefeated in the FAA

With a perfect record of 5-0 in the Fairchester Athletic Association and a 6-4 mark overall, Greenwich Country Day School’s varsity lacrosse team is enjoying another successful season with the postseaso approaching.

The Tigers are currently in first place in the FAA behind victories against King School, St. Luke’s School, Hamden Hall Country Day School, Hopkins School and Greens Farms Academy. GCDS has averaged a little more than 15 goals per game in its five consecutive FAA wins.

Greenwich Country Day is the defending FAA Tournament champion and still has two FAA games remaining on its regular season schedule.

The Tigers will visit Rye Country Day School on May 1 (Friday) and will host Kingswood-Oxford School on May 2nd (Saturday).

Greenwich Country Day hosted Trinity-Pawling School on April 21st and was edged, 7-6, in a well-played, back-and-forth battle. GCDS rebounded from their tight loss against Trinity-Pawling by defeating Hopkins, 15-1, on April 24 and Greens Farms Academy, 14-3, on April 27th.
