Greenwich High School’s varsity football team enjoyed a successful road trip to Veterans Stadium when it faced New Britain on Sept. 18th, in an early-season CIAC matchup.
The Cardinals flourished on both sides of the ball, displaying their skills on offense and defense in a 35-7 win over host New Britain, improving their record to 2-0.
Senior running back/captain paced Greenwich with two touchdowns, while junior quarterback Phil Tarantino, sophomore wide receiver Theo Ho and sophomore running back Evan Beilenson added one touchdown apiece for the Cardinals.
Greenwich is back in action on Sept. 26th (Saturday) against FCIAC foe Fairfield Warde at Cardinal Stadium with a 1 p.m. starting time. Here are some more pictures from Greenwich’s win over New Britain.
